Licensed Spanish–English Interpreter and Translator

The objective of The Role:

To provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation and translation services between Spanish and English, facilitating effective communication in professional settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written content between Spanish and English with accuracy and attention to cultural context.
  • Deliver professional consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in legal, medical, business, and community environments.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with industry standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Adapt tone and terminology based on the context and audience.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Conduct quality checks and proofreading to ensure translation accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Canadian license or certification as a professional Spanish–English interpreter/translator.
  • Full fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated experience in professional interpretation and translation.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and linguistic variation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with interpretation and translation software is an asset.
  • Availability for flexible full-time or part-time work.
