Licensed English–French Interpreter and Translator

The objective of The Role:

To deliver high-quality, professional interpretation and translation services between English and French, ensuring clarity, cultural accuracy, and effective communication in various professional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written documents between English and French with precision and contextual relevance.
  • Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in legal, medical, corporate, and community settings.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and professional standards.
  • Adjust language tone and structure to suit different audiences and settings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless communication.
  • Review and proofread translated materials to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Canadian certification or license as a professional interpreter/translator (English–French).
  • Full professional fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Proven experience in translation and interpretation across diverse sectors.
  • Strong cultural competence and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with translation software and tools is an asset.
  • Flexible availability for full-time or part-time assignments.
