Licensed English–Pashto Interpreter and Translator

The objective of The Role:

To provide accurate, culturally appropriate, and professional interpretation and translation services between English and Pashto, supporting clear and effective communication in various professional settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written documents between English and Pashto with precision and cultural awareness.
• Provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in legal, medical, corporate, and public service environments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with ethical and professional standards.
• Adapt language and tone to suit different audiences and contexts.
• Collaborate with clients, coordinators, and team members to ensure successful communication outcomes.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and proofreading to maintain consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Canadian certification or license as a professional interpreter/translator for English and Pashto.
• Full professional fluency in English and Pashto (written and spoken).
• Demonstrated experience in interpretation and translation across various sectors.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivity in both languages.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with translation and interpretation tools is an asset.
• Availability to work flexible hours in a full-time or part-time capacity.
