The objective of The Role:
To provide high-quality interpretation and translation services between Turkish and English, ensuring clear, professional, and culturally appropriate communication in a variety of professional contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate written content between Turkish and English with accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Deliver consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in settings such as legal proceedings, healthcare appointments, business meetings, and community events.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
- Adapt language, terminology, and tone based on the target audience and subject matter.
- Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to ensure communication goals are achieved.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and quality assurance of translated materials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Canadian certification or license as a professional Turkish–English interpreter/translator.
- Full fluency in Turkish and English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in professional translation and interpretation.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with translation tools and remote interpretation platforms is an asset.
- Flexible availability for full-time or part-time assignments.
